We did it!  I am deeply touched by the outpouring of support you have shown for my campaign.  As a result of your help, I received over 58% of the votes cast in the Democratic primary.  I won in all six counties with a strong lead and I couldn't have done it without your support.
 
It has been a tough year for us in California, which has made this victory that much sweeter.  I feel even more confident now that voters appreciate the work that I've done in Sacramento and are eager to put my experience to work for them in the State Senate.  I look forward to representing the Democratic Party in the November election and continuing to fight for our values as your next State Senator.
 
In my remaining months in the State Assembly, I will continue to protect the critical services we depend on and work hard to balance our budget and invest in our economy.  There is a lot of work to be done but with your support, I know we can accomplish a lot for all of California.
